The Europe-Asia Center is delighted to announce the appointment of H.E. Mr. Erik Solheim, a Norwegian diplomat and former Minister of Norway, who served as the UN Deputy Secretary-General and Executive Director of the UN Environmental Programme between 2016 and 2018 as Vice-Chairman of the board.

Between January 7th and 15th, the Chairman of Europe – Asia Center Amb. (ret.) Piet Steel visited in his capacity as the Vice President of the Belgian Polar Secretariat on Antarctica the Princess Elisabeth base, the scientific base of Belgium in the Antarctic region.
